Mix all ingredients of kofta in a bowl and make thick batter.
Now heat 250 ml oil in a Kadahi and deep fry the dumplings of the batter we prepared.
Fry these kofta on medium flame till golden brown.
Soft lauki kofta are ready. Now we will make curry.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and crackle asafetida and cumin seeds in it.
Add ginger, green chili pepper and onion in it and cook till golden brown.
Now add tomato puree and all the spices in it. Mix it well and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes.
When the oil comes at surface, then add garam masala and 400 ml water in it and boil it for 5 minutes.
Switch off the flame and put all kofta in this curry. Cover the pan with a lid and leave it for few minutes so that kofta will absorb a small amount of curry.
Garnish the delicious lauki kofta curry with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with Roti, Paratha or Naan.
