Moong Dal Kachori Recipe : Step by Step Instructions
First of all, we mix Maida flour, oil and salt in a bowl for making dough.
Now add some water in it and knead it. The dough should neither very tight nor very soft.
Cover it with damp muslin cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile we will prepare stuffing mixture to stuff in kachori.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a kadahi or wok.
Add all the spices and mung lentil in it.
Also add a little amount of water so that all the spices will stick with mung dal. We need dry mixture at final stage, so don’t add too much water.
Now mix it well, cover the lid and let this mung lentil cook on medium flame for 5 minutes.
An aromatic stuffing mixture is ready. Switch off the flame and let it cool.
Make medium sized balls from the dough and flatten each ball between palms.
Stuff it with mung lentil mixture, seal it properly .
Again flatten it between palms.
Heat oil in a kadahi and deep fry all the kachoris on low flame until golden brown.
Spicy, flavorful amazing kachoris are ready. Serve these kachoris hot with tamarind chutney and coriander chutney.
You can also serve kachori with either sweet yogurt or Rajasthani Kadhi or Aloo-chola.
