Red Kidney Beans Recipe – Step By Step Instructions
  1. First of all wash the beans properly and soak overnight.
  2. Drain it in morning and cook in pressure cooker with salt and water for 15 minutes on medium flame.
  3. While red kidney beans are boiling, prepare gravy for it.
  4. To make gravy, heat oil in a Karahi and crackle cumin seeds in it.
  5. Add chopped onion in it and fry it till golden brown.
  6. Add tomato and ginger puree in it.
  7. Add all the spices in it and mix it well.
  8. Cook this gravy until oil separates.
  9. When oil comes at surface of gravy, add boiled kidney beans in it and mix properly.
  10. Let it cook on medium flame for 5 minutes. You can add water if required.
  11. Delicious red kidney beans are ready to serve hot with Roti and Jeera Rice.
Recipe Notes
  1. If you like the flavor of garlic, you can also add 10 garlic flakes while making puree of tomato and ginger.
  2. If you don’t have enough time to soak red kidney beans overnight, you can soak your beans in hot water for at least 2 hours and pressure cook for 25 minutes.
