In my previous post, I’ve shared traditional North Indian sweet dish Suji Mawa Gujia recipe. Today I’m sharing Chocolate Gujia recipe with you.

Chocolate Gujia recipe is nothing but a fusion version of traditional Gujia because everybody loves chocolate in today’s scenario. I hope you will like this twist in traditional taste and this chocoalte gujia recipe will help you to amaze your guests at festivals like Diwali, Holi and other festivals.

Instructions To Prepare Gujia Stuffing Mixture:
  1. Roast grated Khoa in a Kadahi till light brown.
  2. Roast Suji flour with 1 tea spoon Ghee in a pan.
  3. Mix roasted Khoa, roasted Suji flour and all the ingredients of stuffing in a bowl and keep aside.
Instructions To Prepare Gujia Base:
  1. Sieve Maida flour. Add 3 tea spoon Ghee in it and knead it well with luke warm water to make a tight dough. Leave it aside for 10 minutes, covered with a wet muslin cloth.
  2. Make small balls from it.
Instructions For Stuffing and Packing:
  1. Roll one small ball of kneaded Maida flour in approx 4 inch size.
  2. Fill half the round of it with 1.5 tea spoon of stuffing mixture.
  3. Fold it and seal it properly between the index finger and thumb. You can also press the teeth of a fork on the seal to make it sure that the stuffing must not comes out while frying.
  4. Keep this raw Gujia in a plate and cover the plate with a dry muslin cloth so that the Gujia will not become dry.
  5. Prepare raw Gujia from entire Maida flour in the same way.
  6. Heat 250 ml Ghee in a Kadahi.
  7. Deep fry Gujia in it at medium flame till golden brown.
Instructions For Chocolate Coating on Gujia:
  1. Cut chocolate brick in small pieces.
  2. Melt chocolate by double boiler process.
  3. Dip your deep fried Gujia in molten chocolate so that it get a fine coating of chocolate.
  4. Serve delicious mouthwatering Chocolate Gujia hot.
  5. If you can't serve it hot, then take out Gujia from molten chocolate on an aluminium foil and keep in fridge for half an hour so that chocolate coating will set. Then after you can store it at cool and dry place and can serve at room temperature.
Recipe Notes
  1. You can serve Chocolate Gujia both hot and cool.
  2. You can decorate your Gujia with Pistachio chips and Almond chips while serving.
  3. Chocolate Gujiya can easily store at a cool and dry place for 7 days.
