Gujia is an oval shaped fried dumpling like sweet dish generally prepared by Maida flour and/or Suji flour (Semolina). It is stuffed with the mixture of Khoa, Sugar, and dry fruits and packed like Samosa (an Indian savory).

Instructions For Stuffing and Packing
- Fold it and seal it properly between the index finger and thumb by folding the edges inward. You can also press the teeth of a fork on the seal to make it sure that the stuffing must not comes out while frying.
- Keep this raw Gujia in a plate and cover the plate with a dry muslin cloth so that the Gujia will not become dry.
- Heat 250 ml Ghee in a Kadahi.
- You can serve it hot or at room temperature.
Recipe Notes
- If you love very sweet desserts, you can dip the fried Gujia in hot sugar syrup (chaashni) for a while.
- You can serve Gujia both hot and at room temperature.
- You can decorate your Gujia with Pistachio chips and Almond chips while serving.
- Gujiya can easily store at a cool and dry place for 15 days.

Welcome back, Rumana..How have you been?Perfect and delicious guijya..I had the opportunity to taste this awesome sweet during my stay in IIT Kanpur for my masters project..My labmates used to bring this sweet for us and I loved it a lot..Thanks for sharing the recipe, Rumana..I will surely try it sometime..Did you use a mould for making this or did you use a fork to make those impressions?
