Ingredients
- 100 gm Rice (Basmati Rice)
- 3 tsp Split Bengal Gram
- 3 tsp Split Black Gram skinned
- 15 nos. Curry Leaves
- 1 nos. Onion (roughly chopped)
- 1/2 tsp Black Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 nos. Lemon (extract lemon juice)
- 2 tsp Edible Oil
- To Taste Salt

Step by Step Instructions
- Wash rice properly and put in a heavy bottom pan. Add two cups of water.
- Add salt and turmeric powder to it.
- Cover rice with a lid, and let it cook on medium flame, till the water absorbed.
- Take the rice off the flame.
- Heat oil in an another pan.
- Crackle mustard seeds and curry leaves in it.
- Now, add chopped onions to it and cook till onions become pink.
- Add both the lentils to it and cook till the lentils turn golden brown. Take out this masala immediately in a cool pan to prevent lentils over cook.
- Add this masala to cooked rice.
- Add lemon juice to rice and mix well.
- Delicious lemon rice is ready.

Note:-
- Basmati Rice gives the wonderful aroma and taste in this recipe.
- For perfect South Indian taste, use coconut oil.
- Serve it with plain Raita to enhance the taste.
