Meethi Mathri Recipe : Step by Step Instructions
  1. Take Maida flour in a bowl. Add 50 ml oil and small amount of water in it.
  2. Knead it to make tight dough.
  3. Heat 200 ml oil in a Kadahi or fry pan.
  4. Meanwhile make lemon size balls from dough and flatten these balls between your palms.
  5. Deep fry these flat Mathris in hot oil until golden.

  6. Now make sugar syrup in a separate pan.
  7. Mix 50 ml water in 100 gm sugar and boil on low flame to make sugar syrup. Stir it continuously.
  8. When sugar syrup starts thicken but still have pouring consistency then switch off the flame.
  9. Immerse fried mathri in sugar syrup for a while for sugar coating.

  10. Grease a plate with cooking oil and put Sweet Mathris on it.
  11. Garnish hot Meethi Mathri with almond and pistachio chips.
  12. Let your Mathris cool. Then store in dry air tight jar.
  13. Enjoy the crunchy bites!
