Mint onion raita recipe (पुदीना और प्याज़ का रायता) is a condiment recipe from Indian cuisine. It is made by beaten yogurt, onion rings and mint paste of fresh mint leaves. Some spices are also used in this raita recipe to add various flavors.
Though, you can enjoy this mint onion raita recipe in any season, but it has a special significance in summer season in India because yogurt, mint and onion protects from heat strokes.
First of all, yogurt is get beaten for mint onion raita recipe. Then fresh mint leaves paste and onion rings are mixed in it. Salt, red chili powder and cumin seeds powder are added as per taste to give it flavors.
It is a very easy, quick and healthy veg recipe. You can serve it chilled in lunch or dinner with many Indian dishes as an accompaniment food especially with pulao, biryani and other rice dishes.

- 250 gm Yogurt
- 25 gm Mint Leaves
- 1 Onion (medium size)
- As per taste Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Salt
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder
- 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
- Beat the yogurt very well.
- Cut the onion in rings and soak in tap water for 5 minutes.
- Make thick paste from fresh mint leaves.
- Add the mint paste, all the spices and onion rings in the beaten yogurt.
- A very good summer recipe from yogurt is ready. Serve it chilled with paratha, biryani, pulao etc.
