Namak Para, namak paare, or diamond cuts is popular snack or namkeen recipe during Diwali, festivals or even for tea time. This easy and simple snack is not only limited to Diwali but during Holi or any festival or just like that is prepared. This is one of those wonderful snacks that are appropriate anytime of the day, any time of the year. Not to mention it’s so difficult to say no to these crunchy, yummy mini bites and it’s quite additive.
Namak pare self life is very long (if it’s not finished by then) so it’s good for travelling too and a wonderful, tasty tea time snack actually any time snack.
Let’s whip up some of this fried goodness and enjoy with family and friends (नमक पारा रेसिपी) .
Ingredients
- 100 gm Refined flour
- 1 tsp Carom Seeds
- 40 ml Oil
- to taste Salt
- Water to knead refined flour

Cooking Method :
- Mix maida, salt, carom seeds and oil very well.
- Add water in it as per requirement and knead it to make a soft dough.
- Cover it with a muslin cloth and leave it for 15 minutes.
- Make medium sized balls from the dough and roll these balls gently.
- Cut long ribbon like strips same as shown in the video.
- Heat oil in a karahi and deep fry these strips until golden brown.
- Traditional Indian savory snack "Namak Pare" are ready to serve on festivals.
- Store your delicious and crispy Namak Pare in an air tight jar at cool and dry place.
- You can enjoy them for next few weeks.
