Paneer pakora recipe (पनीर पकौड़ा रेसिपी) is a vegetarian fried snacks recipe made by paneer (Indian cottage cheese), besan (chickpea flour) and some spices.
Paneer is cut in cubes and then slit lengthwise. Chat masala or coriander chutney is stuffed in the slits. Salt, red chili pepper powder and few other spices added in gram flour (chickpea flour) and a thick batter is made by adding water.
Stuffed paneer pieces are dipped and covered with the chickpea flour batter and then deep fried in hot oil until golden brown.
These paneer pakora are then served hot with coriander chutney, tamarind chutney and/or tomato sauce.
Paneer pakora is one of the most eaten paneer recipes in India after some paneer snacks and sabji, i.e. paneer tikka, paneer butter masala, shahi paneer and kadahi paneer.

- 250 gm Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese )
- 150 gm Chickpea flour (gram flour or besan)
- To taste Chat Masala
- To taste Salt
- 1 tsp Red Chili Pepper Powder
- To Deep Fry Oil
- First of all, cut paneer in 1.5 inch size.
- Now, slit all the paneer pieces lengthwise.
- Stuff chat masala to taste inside the slits. You can also stuff coriander chutney in paneer pieces.
- Add all the spices in gram flour and make a thick batter by adding water.
- Heat oil in a kadahi.
- Immerse all paneer pieces in gram flour batter and deep fry in hot oil at medium temperature.
- When pakoras will turn golden brown then take out from the kadahi and put on tissue paper.
- Yummy paneer pakora is ready.
- Serve these pakora hot with coriander chutney, tomato sauce or tamarind chutney.
