Today I am sharing peanut burfi recipe (मूंगफली बर्फी रेसिपी) in this post.
This peanut burfi recipe is a delicious dessert recipe eaten in North India at special occasions, festivals and fasts.
It is made by peanuts, sugar, khoa and Ghee (clarified butter). Saffron and green cardamom are added in it for additional flavor. It is served at room temperature like other burfis.

Peanut Burfi Recipe : Step by Step Instructions
- Soak peanuts for 4 hours.
- Grind soaked peanuts to make fine paste.
- Heat ghee in a karahi.
- Add peanut paste in it and stir it continuously.
- When it starts to leave the surface of the karahi, add khoa in it and stir for few minutes.
- When it starts to turn pink, the mixture is ready.
- Remove it from flame and let it come at moderate temperature.
- Meanwhile make sugar syrup by cooking sugar, water, saffron and cardamom powder together to achieve 2 string thickness.
- Add peanut paste in this sugar syrup and mix it properly.
- Grease one thali with ghee and pour the barfi mixture in it. Pat thali to spread the mixture evenly.
- When it comes at room temperature, cut the cakes and serve the delicious peanut saffron burfi.
