Shrikhand recipe is an Indian dessert recipe made by yogurt, sugar, saffron and cardamom. It is garnished with almond chips and pistachio chips at the time of serving.

In India, shrikhand is also eaten as fasting recipe and used as prasad on many festivals. As shrikhand recipe is a yogurt recipe so it is also offered as bhog to Lord Krishna on Janmashtami festival and during daily worship practice.
Ingredients
- 250 gm Hanged Curd (prepared by tying approximately 750 gm yogurt in a cotton cloth and hanged for 4 hours)
- 75 gm Powdered Sugar
- 2 tsp Green Cardamom Powder
- 10 threads Saffron

Shrikhand Recipe : Step by Step Instructions
- Dissolve saffron threads in 2 tsp hot milk.
- Add all the ingredients in hanged curd and beat it with hand beater very well to mix all the ingredients evenly.
- Don't use electric beater to beat it, otherwise some amount of butter can come out.
- A very delicate kesar elaichi Shrikhand is ready.
- Keep it in fridge for 1 hour and serve chilled.
- Garnish it with almond and pistachio chips at the time of serving.
