Ingredients
- 750 gm Sarson ka saag
- 250 gm Spinach
- 4 Onion (finely chopped)
- 5 Tomato (roughly chopped)
- 1 Ginger (lemon size)
- 1 Green Chilli
- As per taste Salt
- 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
- 3 tbsp Ghee
- 3 tsp Maize flour

Sarson Ka Saag Recipe : Step by Step Recipe
- First of all peel Sarson stems.
- Cut sarson stems, sarson leaves and spinach roughly.
- Cook these leafy vegetables in a pressure cooker with tomato, green chili, ginger, salt and water on medium flame till 3 whistles.
- When cooker comes at room temperature itself, then take out saag and coarsly grind in a grinder.
- Heat ghee in a karahi. Cook garlic and onion in it till golden brown.
- When it becomes golden brown, add saag in it.
- Finally add red chili powder and maize flour in it and cook on medium flame for 10 minutes.
- Stir it continuously to make it lump free.
- Mothwatering Sarson ka saag is ready to serve hot with butter and Makka ki roti.
Recipe Notes
- Spinach is generally added to Sarson ka Saag to reduce the pungent taste of Sarson. You can adjust the quantity of Spinach in Sarson ka Saag as per your taste.
